Первоначально назывался Прей-Нокор и был крупнейшим портом Камбоджи послеангкорского периода.

После завоевания этого района вьетнамцами и до 1975 года носил название Сайго́н (вьетн. Sài Gòn, тьы-ном 西貢, по названию реки, на которой расположен).

Переименован в честь первого президента Вьетнама Хо Ши Мина
(согласно правилам транслитерации вьетнамские географические названия пишутся слитно).
В то же время в разговорном вьетнамском языке название «Сайгон» по-прежнему распространено.

IV. Mobile Internet service manual

Mobile Internet service is automatically opened for new subscribers

(including prepaid and postpaid subscribers) and active subscribers who have registered Mobile Internet package.

1. Channels providing the service

You can use the service via one of the following chanels:

−   Write SMS to 999

−   Via USSD, dial *090*5*6#OK

−   Via wapsite: from your phone, visit http://wap.mobifone.com.vn, http://naptien.mobifone.com.vn

−   Via website: login http://mobifone.com.vn, http://naptien.mobifone.com.vn with MobiFone Portal account.

2. Registration

a. Service registration

You can Register Mobile Internet service by one of the following methods:

−   Method 1: Via SMS, write DATA ON to 999

−   Method 2: Via USSD, dial *090*5*6*1#OK

Note

After registering successfully:

−   In order to use Mobile Internet service, you may have to restart your mobile phone.

−   You shall be offered Mobile Internet service with package M0 as default.

b. Package registration

You can register Mobile Internet package by one of the following methods:

- Method 1: Via SMS: Write DK NameofPackage and send to 999

Package names are: M10, M25, M70, M100, D1, MIU, BMIU (Big MIU), Zing, OPE (Opera Mini package), BBU (BlackBerry unlimited package).

For example: to register MIU package, write DK MIU to 999. 

If you are using Mobile Internet package which still remains free capacity, write Y to 999 to confirm package registration. Request of registration shall be cancelled if you do not confirm within 10 minutes.

- Method 2: Via USSD, dial: *090*5*6*3#OK from keypad of mobile phone and follow the instruction to select the package that you want.

- Method 3: Visit wapsite http://wap.mobifone.com.vn via GPRS/EDGE/3G (the system automatically identifies your subscription number): select Mobile Internet/Register/Cancel package/Package to be registered. If you access wapsite with another form of connection (wifi), you need to login the system with your MobiFone Portal acocunt.

   Or visit http://naptien.mobifone.com.vn select Register data service package/Package to be registered.

- Method 4: Log in to website http://mobifone.com.vn with account registered, select Value-added services/Register/Cancel value-added services/Package to be registered

Or log in to website http://naptien.mobifone.com.vn with account registered, select Register data service package/Package to be registered.

Note: 

−   The package will take effect right after the system sends notification SMS successfully.

−   After registering the package successfully, you need to turn off all Internet applications or restart the phone in order to be counted as a registered package.

−   At a time, you can register 1 package by capacity and many packages by IP address.

−   You cannot simultaneously register MIU, BMIU, D1 packages with other Mobile Internet packages or other Mobile Internet promotion packages.

−   When you are using BBU package of BlackBerry, you are not permitted to register other Mobile Internet packages.

3. Cancel the service and cancel the package

a. Service cancellation

You can cancel Mobile Internet service by one of the following methods:

- Method 1: Via SMS, write DATA OFF to 999

- Method 2: Via USSD, dial *090*5*6*2#OK

b. Package cancellation

You can cancel Mobile Internet package by one of the following methods:

- Method 1: Via SMS

+ Step 1: Write HUY NameofPackage to 999.

Package names are: M10, M25, M70, M100, D1, MIU, BMIU (Big MIU), Zing, OPE (Opera Mini package), BBU (BlackBerry unlimited package).

For example: to cancel MIU package, write HUY MIU to 999. 

+ Step 2: Write Y to 999 to confirm cancellation of Mobile Internet package. Request for package cancellation will be canceled if you do not confirm within 10 minutes.

- Method 2: Qua USSD, dial: *090*5*6*4#OK from keypad of mobile phone and follow the instruction.

- Method 3: Visit wapsite http://wap.mobifone.com.vn via GPRS/EDGE/3G (the system automatically identifies your subscription number): select Mobile Internet/Register/Cancel package/Cancel package. If you access wapsite with another form of connection (wifi), you need to login the system with your MobiFone Portal acocunt.

- Method 4: Log in to website http://mobifone.com.vn with account registered, select Value-added services/Register/Cancel value-added services/Package to be registered

Note:

−   Package cancellation takes effect right from the time the system sends SMS notifying successful implementation.

−   When cancelling the package before its expiration, the whole free capacity of the package (if remains) will be deleted and subscription fee will not be refunded. 

−   The package will be Cancelled when: you cancel it; the package expires but you do not renew; subscribers are blocked with two directions.

−   In case of changing among prepaid forms: the current Mobile Internet package will be reserved.

−   In case of changing from prepaid to postpaid and vice versa: the current Mobile Internet package will be canceled.

4. Package renewal

a. General principles

−   Renewal is only made with packages having 30 days of use (M10, M25, M70, M100, MIU, BMIU)

−   After registering the package successfully, it is default that packages with 30 days of use shall be renewed automatically.

−   You can choose:

+  Renew the package automatically

+  Not to renew the package

+  Renew the package when it is still valid but free capacity with high speed of the package has been used up.

Note: After renewing the package successfully, you need to turn off all Internet applications or restart the phone in order to be counted as a renewed package.

b. Methods of renewal

* Auto renewal in the system

−   The system will send a notice via SMS to you one day prior to the usage period is expired. If you do not require cancelling or renewing then the package shall be renewed for the next cycle of 30 days).

−   The package shall not be renewed in one of the following cases:

+  You send SMS for cancelling or requiring renewal before the time the system renews the package.

+  Your subscription is blocked with one direction/ Your account is not enough to subtract subscription fee of the package (for prepaid subscribers).

* Renew the package on demand

−   You can renew M10, M25, M70, M100 packages if the current package is still valid but its free capacity has been used up. The new package will take effect right after your request on renewal is implemented successfully, however, usage days of the package will not be accumulated.

−   You can renew MIU, BMIU packages in case the package is still valid but has been used up the capacity with the speed of 7.2 Mbps.

−   You cannot renew  the package if its usage period and free capacity is still available.

−   To renew the package, write GH NameofPackage to 999.

For example: to renew MIU package, write GH MIU to 999.

* Not to renew the package: 

In order not to renew the package, write KGH NameofPackage to 999.

For example: in order not to renew MIU package, write KGH MIU to 999.

Note:

+   When requiring to renew the package not successfully, you can still continue using until usage period of the package is expired. After the package is expired, the system shall not renew automatically.

+   After the package is cancelled, you can continue use Mobile Internet service with price and speed of M0 package as default.

5. Give package

To give the package, write TANG NameofPackage ReceivingSubscriber to 999.

Conditions for giving the package:

−   Giving subscriber: giving subscriber must operate with two directions and have sufficient credit in account

−   Receiving subscriber:

Subscribers operating with two directions can receive packages given in following cases:

+ The receiving subscriber who has not registered Mobile Internet package or using basic Mobile Internet package (excluding MIU, BMIU packages) but has used up free capacity can receive any Mobile Internet packages.

+ The receiving subscriber is using the basic Mobile Internet package with free capacity can receive value-added packages (such as Zing package...).

Subscribers will not receive Mobile Internet package in following cases:

+ Receiving subscribers are those who are blocked with one or two directions.

+ Receiving subscribers are Fast Connect subscribers.

+ The receiving subscriber who is using basic Mobile Internet package, still valid with free capacity, or using MIU, BMIU packages will not reiceive   MIU, BMIU packages and other basic Mobile Internet packages, but Zing package.

+ The receiving subscriber who is using BlackBerry package with free capacity will not receive Mobile Internet package.

6. Check package status

−    To check status of Mobile Internet package, write KT DATA  to 999

−    To check status of the package given, write KT ReceivingSubscriber to 999.

7. Support requirement

−    In order to get support information on Mobile Internet service, write TG MI to 999.

−    Other statements accepted: 

MI or TRO GIUP MI or HO TRO MI or HELP MI to 999.

Note: For each transaction of registering/cancelling service, package, renewing/cancelling renewal of the package, giving the package, the system will send SMS notifying on status of the transaction, whether it is successful or not.

V. Mobile Internet service fee

5.1. Tariff (VAT included)

Fee for sending SMS to 999: 200 VND/SMS

−   The maximum speed of all packages is: 7.2 Mbps/1.5Mbps (download/upload).

−   Charging method of all packages is: 50kB + 50kB

−   Usage period of the one-day package is 24h since the time of registering successfully. Usage period of the 30-day package is 24h*30 days since the time of registering successfully.

−   For packages without capacity limit: maximum speed is 7.2/1.5Mps (download/ upload) when you use within the scope of free capacity with high speed of the package. Speed will be lowered to normal level after you have used up free capacity of the package (3.5 GB for BMIU package, 600MB for MIU and 150 MB for D1 package).

−   (*)) MIU package preference for Q-Student, Q-Teen subscribers: registering MIU package will be discounted with 30% of package price (35,000 Vnd/each time of registration, renewal), while free capacity remains unchanged.

−   Exempt data fee when accessing to addresses with domain *..vms.com.vn in Vietnam (from MobiFone network or roaming domestically with VinaPhone network). This policy does not apply to MobiFone subscribers who are roaming internationally.
